Devils, demons, fallen ones? They are not so different. Devils are simply your higher dark ones, while Demons work under them. Fallen ones? Do not be fooled. These are angels who have fallen from grace and try to kill the Dark Ones to regain passage to heaven. It is a fate they will never reach. While most think Devils are the pinnacle off all things evil, but they only serve to keep balance in the underworld. They kill off stray Demons that have abandoned their masters and say the hand of the Fallen ones to keep them in place.

Her Story

I suppose by the intro, you may think this is a sad, heartbroken, painful story... But this here is no story about fallen angels and dark ones. No, this is a story of one angel, who was punished for doing what was right. This was how it started.  Esthria is an angel who took the name of Ellie, when taking the job of a cleric at the local church for a cover for her work. It seemed to her, that for her body, being a cleric was the best way to cover her steps. Her mission was simple. She was to guard the balance of human life for a number of years with in an isolated town, the town of Turronway.

Some within the down view the outside girl as an odd thing fitting in, trying to find her place. She preferred it that way. For a year she was in peace, only a year. Then it got difficult to keep her cover as more eyes landed upon her and her strange, kind ways. For to be so kind, not to get angry or strike out when someone did wrong onto them, was not the human way.

This, her peace, was unwinding a little when she was accidentally seen by a villager when she healed a wounded rabbit using nothing but a strange light. At the sight of this, the villager told the others and the down became unsettled having her in their mist. She, herself now, was being isolated and put as an outcast from the villagers. This became a problem for her, as her higher up warned her not to reveal herself to the human eye. For if she did, her penance would be twenty yeas upon earths realm, never to return until her last day.

It was a month later, when she broke that very vow. A young boy who was no more than an unfortunate orphan had stolen bread. He was only nine, but he was innocent in his ways and in age, only wanting to live. The villagers gathered around the bake then, as to send a mob after the lad. It was a mob for one hungry boy seemed highly unfair. They wanted to lash his back and chop off his dominant hand for payment of the crime. Blood for bread, and this angered her. So she protected him. He couldn't see how he being so young, and this strange, yet kind woman, could stop a mob, but he trusted her.

It was at this very moment she did the one thing she could do, but it was at a price. With a burst of light she revealed her angelic decent, but as she did stop them from harming him. She now lost all rights to return home, her light faded, and her white wings dulled. She still had some angelic power left, but she couldn't use it all or she would remain human. The boy was safe now, that was all that mattered to her. She smiled and kissed the boys forehead softly. But her story does not end here...

Though, as I have said before, humans of old are narrow-minded. So at her deal of taking this boy’s punishment as her own, they leaped on it. This here was where she was imprisoned and tortured. She is a sad sight for eyes upon the once so majestic. She couldn't fight back for two reasons. She could not harm a human, and she was already much too weak. They beat her, abused her chastity, skin torn and scarred. Not to mention her wings, once so beautiful, was now tattered, broken, and in too bad of a condition to leave the town to find shelter.

During her penance, he who was her higher, could not see the awful destruction caused upon her. It was as if, that when the vow of secrecy was broken, No ties her life would remain as her very power was slowly diminishing over the years. You would think that for taking this boy’s punishment, she would only have to endure what he would have had to for his crime of stealing a simple loaf of bread. But this was not the case. Because humans fear what they cannot understand by their nature, she was thoroughly tortured.

She low lies, ten years later within the dungeons. She is battered, nothing but skin and bone. Her wings nailed into, bloodshed upon the dull all white wings. Every day she thinks about that little boy, who must now be a man, who must have grown big within the seconds that passed in her life. She only wonders truly, when her pain will end. The pain thrust upon her by a race to young to understand. She prays they learn the errors of their ways, for they know not what they do. And for her rescue from this awful, dark and cold, earth based, windowless room.

Where Esthria Can Be Found

This is where you will find her still. Will it be the boy, who is now a man, which will save her from the dungeons? Or will you be another angel, so happen to pass and take her home, forcing her penance lifted? Maybe you something else, that heard of her, wishing to gain an ally and free her so she may help you on a quest of yours. Here the question is, will you become her enemy, savior, or lover?  To free her would mean you would make an enemy of humanity for freeing her. For freeing a maiden no more, a demons spawn and follower in their eyes. To love her, will mean the fallen will hunt you, and angels will want to redeem your soul.  There is so much danger; will you risk it all to help someone you don't even know?
